Why an Outpatient Surgery Center?

Gwinnett Surgery Center is a dedicated outpatient surgical facility designed for efficiency, comfort, and safety. For appropriate procedures, an outpatient surgery center offers several advantages over a hospital setting:

  • Faster, more efficient experience — dedicated to outpatient surgery with streamlined check-in, shorter wait times, and focused nursing staff
  • Lower cost — facility fees at outpatient surgery centers are typically lower than hospital-based facilities, which can mean lower out-of-pocket costs for patients
  • Lower infection risk — outpatient centers do not have emergency or inpatient populations, reducing exposure to hospital-acquired infections
  • Convenient, comfortable environment — a smaller, less intimidating facility designed around the outpatient experience
  • Same surgical team — Dr. Kakarla performs your surgery with the same anesthesia team and nursing staff who specialize in outpatient procedures
  • Go home the same day — all procedures performed here are same-day discharge
